SNOW!

Last night we got a huge treat in Greensboro...FIVE inches of snow! We count this as Griffin's first "true" snow since it's the first time he's been out to play in it. And, he LOVED it! I think what he really loved was watching Riley in the snow

we're baaaaaack

So, we're back! Both from the blog-o-sphere abyss and Colorado. Last week, Danny and I left on a five night trip to Colorado to visit David and Mark (and Megan and Michelle!). We had a terrific trip...here's some of the evidence. (this is just part one, part two will come when other people (who shall remain nameless) send me photos)

It was a little bit more snowy in Winter Park this time...

Look at David's face...doesn't he look like a pouty six year old. His behavior matched his attitude. Until he had french toast.

Look at the headline we found on the sports page of USA Today while we were gone!

I told you David was feeling naughty...he tried to assault Megan with the perfect weapon (no evidence, no fingerprints). Thankfully, we saved the day!

I always knew Danny had a big noggin, but this is the proof! (okay, we were playing with foreground/background because everyone knows Mark has a big noggin too!)

On New Year's Day, I slept in and Danny took Griffin to McDonald's for breakfast (I got to sleep in, what can I say?). Here's how the conversation went (as reported by Danny).

G: I'm sooo hungry, Daddy.

D: What do you want for breakfast, Buddy?

G: I want eggs, sausage and hash browns.

D: Okay.

G: What are you going to get, Daddy?

D: I'm going to get an egg McMuffin.

G: Daddy, you can get a soda. I won't tell Mommy!!!

My child loves soda. He gets a little sip every now and then and now it has become the forbidden fruit. AND, who told him not to tell Mommy things?!?!?!

The song "Happy Holidays" was on the radio and I was singing (poorly, but Griffin doesn't care). The next thing I know, Griffin's singing..."Happy Halloween, Happy Halloween..."
